How old are you? 30
What is your current residence? Sacramento, CA
Where did you train to become a Pro? Bell Acqua Lakes in Sacramento
How long have you been a Pro? 14 years
Which Moomba boat do you train behind? Moomba Outback
What is your favorite feature? It's quick and responsive... drives like a sports car.
Best compliment received about your boat…. My wife, who pulls me most of the time, loves to drive the Outback.
What color and graphics package do you have? Blue and green... it's the Outback that's pictured on the web site.
What boat speed do you have drivers tow you? We ski at 36 mph, and use the Zero Off for speed control
What is your best score? 3@41' off
What ski do you use? 65" D3 Nomad RCX
How often do you train? All the time... I'm riding my mountain bike tons to stay fit and I ski probably 5-6 days a week; two sets each day. I can't get enough.
What is your goal?   My goal is to be the shortest skier to run 41' off in a legitimate competition. I'm 5'9", more like the average slalom skier. Also, winning any competition is always a goal. Every time I ski I want to be at my best. Having fun should also be part of it... I want to enjoy what I'm doing, and appreciate my opportunities to be able to ski and be good at it.

For Terry Winter waterskiing was a fun family activity. Winter started skiing when he was around six or seven years old. Once he started learning to ski in the course, trick and jump he just could never get enough. Winter explains, "I always wanted to be the first to ski even when it was a cold early morning. When I was about ten years old my family moved to a private waterski lake, this was paradise to me. Now I see parents that are having to force or bribe their kids to ski and with me, my dad had to make me stop skiing."

Winter's best advice for skiers is to buy the DVD- West Coast Slalom by Mike Suyderhoud. West Coast slalom is about being dynamic and efficient. All too often skiers struggle to pull hard thinking that it will get the job done. Pulling against the boat does not create speed; moving the body creates speed.

Winter's also recommends viewing tournaments via the web at www.proskiers.com for all the latest waterski info.
